Personal Project

Deconstructing a Narrative: An Editorial Redesign.

A conceptual book redesign project focused on translating the themes of a complex artistic narrative into a cohesive visual and typographic experience.

Editorial Narrative

The challenge was to completely redesign "Acting the...", a book centered on a complex artistic and personal narrative. The goal was to move beyond a traditional book layout and create a new visual system that would deconstruct and reinterpret the original's core themes.

My strategic approach was to treat the book as a piece of conceptual art. I developed a new visual language using a collage-based system, expressive typography, and a dynamic grid. Each spread was intentionally designed to evoke a specific feeling, guiding the reader through an emotional journey rather than a purely linear one. This project was an exercise in visual storytelling, demonstrating how strategic design choices in typography, layout, and imagery can fundamentally reshape a narrative and create a more immersive and thought-provoking reader experience.

A Tactile Silk-Screened Piece

The Cover

A dynamic, textural, silk-screened poster that doubles as a book cover—blurring the line between print and tactile experience. Designed to engage the senses, this multipurpose piece invites viewers to explore layers of meaning through touch, composition, and form, transforming a traditional book cover into an interactive work of art.

“This project is a redesign of an old art book I discovered—one that didn’t fully honor the artist’s work. I wanted to change that. In my reimagined version, I chose to focus on the details, much like how we examine artwork up close in a museum. Every image is intentionally zoomed in to an extreme, allowing viewers to experience the textures, strokes, and nuances that might otherwise go unnoticed.”
