Santander x Amazon Lockers

THE CHALLENGE:

Business Goal: To successfully install and integrate Amazon Hub Lockers into Santander bank branches, driving foot traffic and creating a value-added service for bank customers and the local community.

Brand Challenge: The core challenge was to seamlessly merge two powerful, globally recognized brands within a single physical space. The design needed to feel authentically Amazon while respecting and preserving the professional, secure environment of a Santander bank.

Customer Experience (CX) Challenge: The installation had to be intuitive and welcoming for Amazon customers, without disrupting the normal flow of bank operations or confusing Santander's own clients.

THE STRATEGIC APPROACH:

My Core Strategy: I developed a "brand-respectful integration" strategy to create a cohesive visual experience that made the partnership feel intentional, not just an object placed in a room.

Why this was the right approach: This reinforced the legitimacy of the high-profile partnership and created a more premium, trustworthy experience, avoiding a look that could have cheapened both brands.

The Creative Execution: The final concept grounds the installation with Santander's core red while leveraging Amazon's recognizable UI. The tagline, "Respect (and packages) delivered here," cleverly bridges both brands' values.

THE OUTCOME:

The Qualitative Result: The final design successfully and elegantly integrated the Amazon Hub Lockers into the Santander branch environment. The solution felt intentional, professional, and visually cohesive, respecting the integrity of both brands.

The Business Impact: The strategic design created a positive and seamless customer experience, successfully driving new foot traffic into bank branches. It served as a tangible and highly visible symbol of an innovative partnership between a financial institution and a tech giant, reinforcing both brands as modern and customer-focused.
